Today’s strip is now coloured and shaded. I’m rather pleased with the look of the final frame. Nice and eye-catching, don’t you think? Hopefully it was worth the wait. From here on in we should be back on time, rather than about six-to-seven hours into update day.
Right now, sitting in the office and working on comics is something of an endurance test. Despite having windows open in every room in the house, I cannot get cool enough to allow me to get on with working on these comics.
Unfortunately that means I’ve yet to complete the colouring on today’s strip. Rather than be late, I’ve therefore decided to upload the line art and lettering for the comic. I’ll have a fully coloured and shaded version up later today. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Normally I have the comic online well in advance of it going live but for the last few days I’ve had delays thanks to real world goings-on. I finished work on today’s comic about twenty minutes ago and since then I have been fighting a losing battle with the site’s FTP connection. It seems that although I’m paying a lot of money for this hosting service, I currently cannot get a reliable connection to the server. As a consequence, I cannot upload the comic.
I will continue trying but it seems there’s going to be even more of a delay than there has been so far. Rest assured that I will be having words with our web host.
When we began posting comics back at the start of January, we thought we had the right idea by adding new strips on Tuesdays and Fridays. However, we now feel that this is not the best approach because it conflicts with our posting schedule for our other comic, The Life of Nob T. Mouse. As a consequence, we have decided to shift the posting of our second weekly comic, from Friday to Thursday.
Hopefully this won’t be too much of a problem for people to adjust to. You are, of course, welcome to continue reading the comic on a Friday. The shift is mainly to ensure my workload as artist is more balanced. This way I can spread the work out a bit better, and not end up with as much crippling RSI!
Welcome to All over the house, the new web comic from Zoë Robinson (the weird writer/artist more famous for The Life of Nob T Mouse) and Jennifer E. Kirk (the cult biopunk author more famous for The Atlantic Connection). The comic will be going live on Friday 02 January 2009 and will update on Tuesdays and Fridays from there on in.
Expect fun and hijinks from downtrodden journalist Emily Westwood (main hobby: despairing at the state of humanity) and nutty barrister Tesrin Stepford-Brown (main hobby: demonology) as they desperately try to keep their heads above water in the turbulent times that we live in.
